"Devin 15 Months"

So our little man is 15 months old!! I cannot believe how time has flown by. I swear it seems like I was just doing a post for him at 4 months. All I know is that Dev is a handful, but he is such a goof! You can tell by this crooked smile that he can be pretty silly. So to name a few things that Devin is doing now:

1.) Saying all of his vowel sounds (It's so funny!)

2.) Pointing at everything saying "Dat"? Like he's asking what's that.

3.) He loves to scratch any chance he gets. :)

4.) He snaps his fingers (no joke) and he does it really well!

5.) Almost walking on his own! We have late bloomers, but with early starts :).

6.) Says "uhOh" it is so adorable.

7.) He can actually say "Addi" pretty clearly now!

These are just to name a very few! All I know is that he has been soooo much fun to watch grow and learn. I can't wait to see what the next month has to bring until then.....

"Can't Forget Father's Day"

Dear Chris,

I don't even know where to begin on telling you what a wonderful father you really are!! I always knew that you were going to be a great daddy, but you really blew me away. It started with one, and then there came two :) It was then that I realized I was the luckiest girl around. The way that you interact with Devin just melts my heart. Now with Addison here you melt it even more. There is just something about a daddy and their little girl. Not to mention what an amazing husband you are, aside from being a great daddy.

I truly feel so grateful to have you in my life, and to call myself your wife. You have been there for me no matter what, through thick and thin. You have always loved me unconditonally, not many people can say that about their spouse, but I can. I feel we have been given a load in just a years time. We have achieved getting two babies here, and not to mention that they were preemies. We have been on an emotional rollercoaster for quite sometime, and I just wouldn't want to be on this ride with anyone else. I love you so much, and don't think I tell you enough. I appreciate all that you do to allow me to stay home with our children. You truly are a great man! Devin and Addison are going to realize soon enough just how lucky they are! I know this already, because you and I am so lucky to have you :)

I love that at night when the babies go to bed we just sit and talk, laugh, and just snuggle with eachother. I love that you send sweet messages through out the day telling me what an amazing mom I am. You always know how to brighten my day, and I truly would be lost without you. I love you sweetie! I could go on and on about how wonderful you are. I will just wrap up by telling you that you are the BEST in my book. Definitely the best daddy around, and an outstanding husband! I hope that you had a great Father's Day. We all sure loved spending it with you :)

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY LOVE!!!!

"My Little Addi Is 4 Months"

Ok so you can't tell me this isn't the cutest smile EVER?!! I don't know how I caught the perfect moment and captured this, but I did. Addison has yet to have her four month check up. We will be seeing the doctor on June 29th. So judging from my scales she is over 10lbs now woo hoo!! I know that sounds insane for a 4 month old, but when you start at 2 1/2 we have to cut her some slack right?! :) So just to name a few adorable things that she is doing now.......
1.) Smiles all over the place!
2.) Reaches for hanging toys!
3.) Can grab, and hold onto certain objects!
4.) Bares full weight on her legs, and stands like a champ!
5.) Holds her own little head up perfect!
6.) Can sit up with just a little something behind her!
7.) Loves belly time, and can lift head atleast 45 degrees!
8.) She coos and talks (It's sooo adorable)
9.) Almost out of her acid reflux stage (THANK GOODNESS)
10.) Last but not least, she sleeps atleast 6 hours straight sometimes 7 (yesssss) Not bad considering I was getting up 4-5 times a night with her. Preemies are VERY high maintenance!!
So that is my little sweet pea in a nut shell right now!! I love my little princess, and can't wait to see what month 5 brings!!!

"Our Family Date Night"

So this wasn't Chris and I's typical date night. We were going to just go alone, but since it was a Father's Day dinner, we decided to all go as a family :) It was a cute little thai place downtown called "Chanon Thai". Ok so I don't usually even like thai, but I have to say this place was pretty good. I would go back for sure. Chris is always begging me to go because he is a thai fanatic. So our little Devin tried some thai for the first time, and he actually really liked it. It is so funny to watch your kids try new foods. You either get a really sour face, or a smile, that's how we know Dev likes new stuff. He is such a funny little dude. I just love watching him discover everything new. Even our little Addi is really alert now, and just absorbing everything around her, then she bursts out with a huge smile. I can't get enough of seeing my babies learn all the time.
After we enjoyed our meal at this cute little place, we decided we needed a treat. So on the way home we picked up some sonic shakes ofcourse :) Dev was so tired, I think we wore him out on his first date night!
Since it was such a pretty night, we had our shakes out in the front yard on a blanket. Sometimes it is the simple moments that I truly enjoy with my little family. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else, but spending every minute I can with them. So it to chalk up our date night with babies, it actually went pretty well. I think we still may stay to just Chris and I though most of the time :)We have really enjoyed getting to go out with eachother one day a week. Chris even said he really looks forward to it, and he loves spending time with me. That really means alot to me, I truly do have a sweet husband. Well enjoy the rest of the pictures below......

"Our Weekend Visitor"

This weekend Chris and I had close friend of ours come in town!! Steph came to see her dad over Father's Day weekend, but on Friday decided to stop and pay us a visit! Steph lives out in Portland Oregon. She hadn't met Addi yet, and it had been quite a few months since she saw Devin last. Steph has been a really great friend over the past few years, and very supportive when I have needed it. Even from afar she manages to be such a great friend! Steph thank you for the visit we really enjoyed you, and little Addison loved her gift. In fact she has already worn it :) I hope to see you soon again when you are back in July! Thank you again for being such a great friend, and we miss you out here!!!

"Our Thursday Night"

Chris and I decided that we needed a break, so we took the babies up to his parents for the evening. It's really a win win with our situation. We get to visit, relax, and hang out, but grandma and grandpa take care of the babies :) We went and had some pizza! We sat outside to eat, because it was such a pretty night. Papa fed Devin his ravioli.... Yum! You can tell by this picture that he was enjoying it...

Well while Dev was eating Chris was keeping little Addi comfortable! I just love this picture. There is something about a daddy and their daughter. I truly love watching Chris with Addi. He is just so good with her. She isn't the easiest baby, and he is so patient and loving with her. It just makes me love my cute hubby even more :)
We just sat around relaxed and enjoyed the evening mostly. I wanted to get some cute pictures of the babies, so I played around with the camera, and this is what I came up with.... These pictures seriously turned out soooo cute!

So after enjoying the evening at grandma and grandpa's house, we had to end the night off good! So mommy decided that she wanted some frozen yogurt :) So Chris and I took the babies for some yogurt at "Yogurt Stop". It is sooo yummy. If you haven't had it you need to try it. These are some pics of us at the yogurt stop before heading home enjoy......

"NICU comparison"

I thought it would be fun to show pictures of Devin and Addison when they were the same ages in the NICU. They were both 6 days old in these pictures. I wanted to see if you all think that they look alike. Personally when I look at the 2 pictures I can't tell, and they are my babies. If it weren't for the different color hats I don't think I would know who is who. Let's see what you all think........

This is devin

This is Addison

"Monday At The Carnival"

So in case you didn't notice I color coordinated my kids to me :) I thought it would be cute if we all matched when we went to the carnival. Chris's sister Jessica is a school teacher, and her school did a cute carnival on Monday night. I figured Dev was to young to do alot, but I knew he would sure love a snow cone. I mean he can't be my child if he doesn't enjoy a yummy snow cone on a hot day right?! :) So my nice little mother-in-law helped me pack up the babies, and we headed over to Jess's school. Chris was still in Texas, so thank goodness for all of his mom's help.
It was really fun as usual to go hang with the family and get me out of the house for a while. Enjoy some pics below of our fun evening out!!!

Addison didn't want to be left out without a snow cone!!! See we offered her a few options :) she is such a doll...... I know I know everyone thinks that about their own babies, but mine really are hehe!

Hanging with Grandma Char :)

"Addison's Blessing Day"

To Our Precious Bundle,

Addison mommy and daddy can't even describe to you just how special you really are!! We see you as a definite gift from above. You were due to be born at 28 to 29 weeks, and were a good candidate for severe health problems. It was once that I was in the hospital on bedrest and decided to say a quiet prayer. I asked Heavenly Father to please to make this experience hard on me and not on you. I asked that if he were going to have you come that early, that he make you not struggle. I told him to please put all difficulties on me, whether it be my surgery, or getting you here, etc...... I just prayed so hard that you could stay in a little longer and be healthy. Sure enough the lord answered my prayers. Even though I was devestated that I had to be in the hospital so long, it bought you so much more time to develop. Let me just tell you little Addi it was the most difficult thing mommy had done so far. I know now that my prayer was answered, because the lord did exactly what I asked, he put all the difficulty on me, and DID NOT make you struggle. He took care of you and made sure that you came developed enough and healthy. This is why my little precious that mommy and daddy had you blessed in this gospel, because we know that Heavenly Father had a large hand in bringing you to us, and we are forever grateful. We love you and are already so proud of what a beautiful little lady you are. I know brother doesn't pay to much attention to you yet, be he loves you so much, and can't wait until you are little bigger to play with. You two will be the best of friends. We love you are little princess, and pray and hope that you are truly BLESSED through out your life!!

Love,

Mommy, Daddy, and Devin :)

"Condo Day 3"

This day we had more pool time, and also went into St. George for the day! My dad AKA "The Manny" watched the babies, so that me, my mom, and my sister could go to lunch and shop for the day!! Thank goodness for my cute daddy. I don't know what I would do without him and my mom always helping with the babies. Then ofcourse you have chris's parents that help just as much, so between both chris and I still have quite a bit of freedom. Take a look below of the manny in action burping little addison.....We went to the outlet stores for some shopping, and my mom found herself some awesome sunglasses!! They made her look like a fly, it was to funny so I had to get a picture.....Once we got back to the condo from St. George it was time for some more pool time.
Addi just decided to stay in the shade and lounge!! :)
After our fun filled day of lunch, shopping, and ofcourse the pool AGAIN! We decided to get ready for the evening and go to dinner at cute little mexican restaurant. Below is just alot of fun pictures before we left for dinner, so enjoy............

"Condo Day 2"

So on day 2 ofcourse it was off to the pool! Now Devin hadn't really been in a pool yet. I mean we put him in last summer, and he hated it by the way. He was just so young that he doesn't remember. So this year being that he is almost 15 months old, we figured it would be way more fun. It really was the getting ready for the pool that was the funnest. Check out Dev below in little swimmer diapers, and little Addison in her stylish pool attire..... So dang cute, but hey I'm bias to them :)
So after all the chaos of getting ready for the pool, it was actually off to the pool :) Devin didn't love the pool at first. I think it was just the initial getting in, you know how cold that can be. So grandpa and mommy had to gently get Devin used to the water....

Once he got used to the water we couldn't get him out. He was totally loving being in the pool. I was so glad, because I didn't want him to be afraid of water at all. Well judging by the pictures below he wasn't (enjoy).......

So after all of the fun in the pool, Devin decided he wanted to bask in the sun with grandpa..... This is such a priceless picture :)
