Salad @ 9:00am

Well I guess I am biting my tongue now by saying that I haven't been to sick! Not so true :)although I will say it is alot more managable than my last pregnancy. That tells me this little bean could be a boy. For me I was way more sick with Addison than with Devin. So I'm kind of going off that for now, but who really knows. Anyhow I titled this post post salad at 9:00am, because I really ate salad this morning at 9:00am. Your body gets so messed up in the first stages of pregnancy. I mean seriously for as queezy as you feel who wants a cold salad at 9 in the morning. As long as I'm not throwing up and can still be active, then I will take what I have going on. I guess we can chalk this up to the first weird craving so far :) Oh and it's not just any salad, it's Rock Creeks Pizza's salad bar. So until next time I hope you all are enjoying the blog......

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!! FROM THE DUNCAN'S........

We had this cute picure done of the babies for christmas. I think it turned out so cute. We hope you all have happy holidays! :)

Baby Dunc #3 Is Coming Soon........

Okay so in case you haven't noticed the newest name to the blog :) with the 3 babies, well it's true baby #3 is on the way. Little baby Dunc decided they wanted to be a part of our family when they felt like it. So Chris and I ofcourse were pleasantly suprised on Dec. 4th to find out that we are PREGNANT! People may think we are totally insane, but we are super excited, besides this was not planned at all. We may end up having 3 kiddos under 3, but we will be done and finished! I figure in two years from now when everyone else is still trying to get babies here we will have all kids, and be past the hard part for everything. So truthfully I am grateful for what we have been given, I truly couldn't ask for a better Christmas gift :) So baby Dunc will be here August 18th. I know I know what you are all thinking....... We don't go to our due date, but the docs already have me on meds and protein treatments to prevent the growth restriction this time (They aren't messing around). So fingers crossed we can hopefully get to 37 weeks this time with a bigger baby.

"Prayers For Ponka"

If you are all wondering who Ponka is it's my (grandpa). My family has always called him ponka instead! The oldest grandkids never could say grandpa, but they kept saying ponka. So now that you all know who I'm talking about, I will give the short story. My ponka is suffering from lung cancer . It has finally caught up to him, and he is now fighting it from home. The hospice has been coming out to his home, nurses daily etc..... They have evaluated him recently, and they have come to the conclusion of him having a week or two to live. Now I know we all have grandpa's and are all generally pretty close to them. In this case I see my ponka literally as a second dad. I have lived a mile from him my whole life, and as the yougest grandchild he has treated me like a princess. He is the kindest sweetest man, and has never deprived me of anything! Now when he is in need of my help I feel helpless. The one time he actually is unable to things for himself ,and so sick, I can't take this pain away! After all he has done for me my whole life, and still at 27 he spoils me, I wish there was something I coud do for him right now. I realized at this point all we can give is prayers to help comfort him, and to ease his pain. I had a blessing arranged for him last night, and my ponka is not LDS, but he told me after that he really appreciated me doing that, and he got teary eyed telling me. I realized that I had done the right thing for him and my whole family. There wasn't a dry eye in the room, and there really was a sense of calmness. None of my family in fact is LDS, but they all thanked me and told me they were glad that I did it. I really felt good about doing that for my ponka, it was the least I could do to offer some comfort. So please I ask all of you to say a prayer for ponka, ask for some comfort for him. and for him to not be afraid to pass away!! I have such a special place in my heart for my ponka, and really don't know what I will do without him. I love you ponka!! Love carebear

"My New Calling"

So after living in my ward for over 2 years now I finally got a calling!! I was asked to be a sunday school teacher for the youth. They are 14 and 15 year old boys and girls. I will have 6 students, and my first lesson is tomorrow. I am really excited to learn and study the lessons every week. I feel I have really been given an important calling, and I want to take it very serious! I want to dive head first into all that I am going to be teaching, and make sure that I am living my life in the gospel. I have alot of challenges around me all of the time. I have diversity around me all of the time, but to me that is a good thing. It will just make me stronger to be able to stand up for myself and do things the way I feel is right. I am just so happy I can get such a good age group to teach. 15 years old is such an age that is sensitive and that I can share my experiences with, and have an impact on. The lesson I'm starting with this week is on "prophets". I myself don't know alot about all of the lesson subjects, but I know one thing I feel what I'm teaching is correct. So now all I have to do is dig in and do alot of studying, so that I can pass the message to all of my students. That sounds so weird to say, I can't believe I'm a teacher now. Well I just wanted to write a short message about the newest and latest. I will let you know how the first class goes.

"Devin's Playdate"

Ok so Dev's little buddy linkoln is such a cutie! They are only 6 months apart and really starting ineract with eachother. They both couldn't get enough of pushing the chair around on the wood floor. I had to get some pictures it was to funny! Addi wanted to play with the boys, but she still just a little to young. Addison is only 6 months younger than link. Does that tell you how close my kids really are yikes!! Anyhow I have some cute pics so enjoy! Thanks for coming to play with us Linkoln!

"Bear Lake"

We went to bear lake over Labor Day! It was alot of fun to go with 2 babies this year. Just 2 years ago Chris and I were going to bear lake ALONE. Now we have an 18 month old and a 7 month old (It's Nuts). Devin was such a blast this year. He loved playing on the beach, splashing in the water, but most of all eating the sand :) Addison was a little dolly on the beach. She just soaked up some rays in her cute pink chair. She wasn't as active as Devin yet, but she still really enjoyed bear lake. Enjoy some pictures below of all of us at bear lake!

"Our Saturday Beach Party"

Well Chris had left Friday night for Flaming Gorge, so Saturday I had a fun idea in mind for me and the babies! I had heard on the radio about a beach party at Gardner Village. It sounded so fun for dev and Addi. You had to dress hawaiin style ofcourse. I'm a sucker for theme parties, so we got all dressed up :) I got flower lays for all three of us, sun glasses etc.... and we headed out to Gardner Village. I met my mom, dad, and sister there to enjoy the festivities. We ate teriyaki bowls, smoothies with little umbrellas, and just did everything hawaiin style!! We got some really cute pictures so enjoy them below.........

Friday night SUSHI"

Okay so I just have to start by saying that I ate this YIKES! It was steamed mussles with a lemon sauce. Anyhow I don't usually branch out, but my sister and her boyfriend got Chris and I to eat things we had never tried. It was actually really really good! We only had so much time go do something with our Friday night, so we chose a sushi dinner (without kids) :) My crazy husband was leaving the same night for Flaming Gorge. So we decided to do something together before he left. Just an FYI temura shrimp rolls are delicious yum yum! We went and ate at a place downtown called Takashi. I would recommend that you try it, if you like sushi that is!! I have really learned to love sushi, thanks to my husband. I wasn't sure about it, but he took me to simply sushi, and I loved it!! Well I'm off to bed hope you all have a great weekend!

"Our Fun Filled Friday"

So Friday Chris got off work around noon. So we decided to take the babies over to the "County Fair". It was alot of fun to just spend quality time together. Chris is such a cute daddy with our little cutie pies :) There was a petting zoo, a carousel ride, snow cones, and eating of course. We got some really cute pics of Devin with daddy in the petting zoo. I also took Dev on the carousel ride, he wasn't to sure about it. As for little Addison she slept the whole time. Next year she will be able to enjoy all of these things that big brother is doing this summer. She is still trying to catch up in weight, so she takes lots of little naps during the day. They say that is when they grow the most, and it keeps her from being fussy when were out too :) It was alot of fun hanging with my cute little family, like usual. Now that chris and I have kids we try to find all the local fun things going on. I just want to take my babies every where, and spend as much time with them any chance we get. So I always look forward to our weekends, because we just like to spend time together. Enjoy all the pics below........

"Tuesday Concert Night Out"

Well I got tickets to this concert through my sister and her boyfriend! They were so nice to invite my mom and I along. Chris was a great hubby as usual, and took on our two little monsters, so I could go out for the evening. This is my sister and her boyfriend below.......This concert was outside for Chris Isaac at Red Butte Gardens! It is sooo pretty there, and I had never been to a concert there, so I really enjoyed. We had this "Random" as I liked to call him, jump into our picture. My sister and I were getting our picture taken when this guy walked by. He asked "Can I be in the picture"? We said sure why not, so that is how we got this funny picture.....
I Really enjoyed getting out, and going to the concert with you all!! I love summer. It seems like Chris and I have something daily between all each of our families. It is all fun stuff though, and I love getting out all the time :)

"Family Cleaning Night"

So atleast a couple times a year my whole family get to together, and we help clean my grandparents house! We try to help them out, things are just getting a little harder for them to do. My grandpa (ponka) was diagnosed with lung cancer last October. So ever since that we have all tried to pull together and help anyway we can. I of course had my best little helper there cleaning with me. My little Devin is so proud of standing on his own, taking steps, and so on. So I got the cutest picture of him hold the duster, and giving me his famous goofy grin.......I know I am very bias, but he is sooooo dang cute!!! I also captured some other photos of everyone cleaning. It was really nice to go help the family out, and hang with all of my relatives while doing it. It what life should be all about is FAMILY. I have learned in the past few years that they are the only true consistent thing in my life. I am so grateful for all of them. Please enjoy the pics below.

Then just 5 days ago we were at Rock creek for dinner, and she stuck her tongue out so far. Her new nickname is Gene Simmons for those that don't know, it's the guy from KISS with the long long tongue! I guess i just never really payed attention to how long her tongue really is lol.. Enjoy these photos.....

"5 Year Anniversary"

Chris and Cari
Married August 11th
2005

So it has been 5 years of marriage for Chris and I!! I cannot believe how fast the time goes. I just have to say how much I love my husband, and thank him for being the most supportive loving man I know. I think it is rare to find someone that loves you truly unconditionally. He has made me feel like the luckiest girl int he world! I kow it may sound cheesy, but he is my lobster :) I could not ask for a better best friend in life. I share so much with him, including our two beautiful babies. Devin and Addison have just brightened our lives so much. I still remember just standing at the alter on our wedding day, and all eyes were on us. It feels just like yesterday that we were saying " I Do". This year we decided to give ourselves a well deserved trip together ALONE. We headed to San Francisco on July 31st for 4 days. It was the most fun I have had with my hubby in quite a while. I will post pics of the trip don't worry. I just have been trying to catch myself up on the blog, so I'm sorry about that. As for our actual anniversary day, we had a great time. We went to Red Lobster for dinner, then headed home to babies sound asleep in bed ahhhh. My parents of course came to the rescue, and let us have a night out. After babies were in bed and we had a minute to ourselves, we had a toast together, with our wedding glasses.

Needless to say we had an awesome anniversary!! We kept it simple, but fun. I have learned in the past year and a half to really appreciate the simple things. Sometimes those are the greatest memories. Thank you so much sweetie for a fun night out, and making me feel like your lady. You always know how to make me feel very special. I LOVE YOU!!!! Happy Anniversary!

Sunday, August 8, 2010

Well I can’t believe that I am 27 years old!! I feel like I am getting soooo old. I know I know some of you would say that sounds ridiculous. I met Chris when I was 18 years old, then we were married when I was 22. Now I have a husband, my cute home, and 2 kids!! I have to say getting older is actually pretty awesome. If I would have known all these wonderful things came along with it, I would have pushed to grow up quicker. So for my birthday I am of course super spoiled, like usual. I basically got 4 days in a row of birthday fun. It started on Sunday and didn’t end until Thursday. Sunday I went to the park with all of my family, I mean extended and all. You see me and my grandpa share our birthday’s together(there is a picture of us above), we have all of my life. So this year he turned 84 years old, and he is fighting lung cancer. I know that he probably will not be around for our birthday’s to come. I hope and pray that he is, but it just is hard to say, I really enjoyed this birthday with him. As for Monday night we went to Chris’s softball game then ate some dinner. Tuesday I went to lunch with my mom and sister at good old rock creek, and then Weds. was my real birthday. That night Chris’s family took me to Olive Garden for dinner, then baskin robbins for ice cream after. I am so spoiled with gifts every year, my babies spoiled me too this year!! I have a cute husband that of course gives 3 gifts for my birthday now, because Devin and Addison give me each a gift too lol. So between everyone I got over $200 dollars cash, Green Science crème (by Aveda it is the best face product ever), then I got clothes, jewelry, boots, lunches, dinners, gift cards. I mean really you name it I definitely got it!! I almost feel guilty how much I get given constantly really. I feel like Chris and I are given so much all the time, sometimes for just no reason at all. I feel so lucky to have what I have, and would say this has been the best birthday in 27 years!! I have the best things in life that you could ask for: love, happiness, faith, children, a loving husband, a home, and family. What honestly is better than all of that I ask!? Well I have rambled long enough, so please enjoy the pictures below from my 4 day birthday adventure :)…………….. Oh and by the way as if I am not spoiled enough I got to go to San Francisco on July 31st for Chris and I’s 5 year anniversary woo hoo!!! Watch for that post next.
