"My OB's Decision"

Well I saw my OB and we are in a waiting game right now. Basically in a nutshell my doctor told me that she thinks we will be delivering fairly early. We have another ultrasound on jan 13th, if baby girl has fallen in percentile again, then we will start steroid shots. The shots are to get her lungs prepped for delivery. I will only be 27 weeks at my next ultrasound, so they are wanting to try and keep her in there until 30-31 aleast. We are praying we can get that out of her if nothing else. My doctor has put me to bed rest at 90% down throughout the day. This is has been quite the task with a 9 1/2 month old, and doing work from home. I see my OB again this coming thursday, she has me seeing her every week right now. So I may have more info. from that if anything changes. Thanks all for the comments and prayers for baby girl. I appreciate having such kind friends and family. This has been a very emotionally draining situation. With Devin everything was so much more abrupt, and he was further along so it wasn't as stressful. There has just been so many doctors this time, and ups and downs. It just can get exhausting with time. I'm learing quickly how my pregnancies go, and it makes me sad that I will never experience a smooth full term pregnancy. I just look at this is as one of my own personal challenges in life. It's all in how you handle it right? Well until I have more info and next time, thank you all again for everything.

"Baby Girl's Ultrasound"

Well I thought I would start this post with the good news first. Today we went to see how baby girl had grow, well she was at 1lb 5oz. This means that she gained 5oz which seems good. Her movemets are well, and her heart sounds good. So now for a little bad news I guess you could say. Baby girl is now measuring 2 weeks behind, where as two weeks ago she was only measuring 1 week behind. So she has gone backwards in that area. Also before she was falling in the 16th percentile for size, but today she went into the 11th percentile. So she is definitely going backwards, even though she has grown some. I just know in my heart that there is something more to this. So tomorrow is my actual appointment with my OB, she has great judgement and I trust her. I will know tomorrow on really how this pattern is going, and she is going to strict bed rest me or not. So ofcourse I only have some answers for now. Atleast she grew some, instead of not at all. I just can't see past the fact that she keeps falling behind more and more each time. Thank you for all your concerns and prayers. This has been an ongoing thing, and it is getting stressful and exhausting. I will have more info again tomorrow for everyone, so check for that. Talk to you all tomorrow.

"Prayers For Baby Girl"

I just have to start by saying that, there is no such thing as to soon for prayers. I had done an update on December 18th saying baby girl is small. She is still small, but we found another bit of news that was a little discerning. My dr. appt was this Monday, and I was told that my uterus hasn't grown now since November 30th. That is definitely one of the main signs of growth restriction in the fetus. The main problem is that this happened with devin, but it didn't happen with him until 30 weeks. I am only 24 weeks right now, and I'm afraid that this is happening alot sooner with little girl. Which the result of this can mean an even earlier delivery than devin, if you don't remember he was born at 33 weeks. Anything below that just really scares me to death. There are so many things that could be wrong if they are born earlier. I just pray, and I hope you all will to that we can get her here safe and healthy. I am praying to get to atleast 30 weeks, if we get further, then it is just a plus. Please all I know it's christmas and you are all busy, but please pray for my baby girl. Chris and I already love her more than she knows. We appreciate all your love and help that we were already given with devin. I will have real answers december 30th, and I will be posting more then.

"Seeing Santa For The First Time"

I knew devin would only be 8 1/2 mos old when we took him to see santa, but I had to see his reaction. It was the funniest thing, he just kept staring at him. The few pictures that we did get of him looking at us, were like a deer caught in headlights. Devin seems to give this look alot in pictures. I am just so excited to have kids now for christmas's, it makes you remember what it was like. I think it makes christmas fun again, I am a kid myself at heart alot of the times. I just hope that we can make some fun traditions with our own new little family. I can't wait for our little girl to get here, so we can enjoy a son and a daughter next year for christmas. It will just be double the fun, and a little bit of chaos :)

All bundled up to go home after the fun adventure to see santa!!

"Devin's New Christmas PJ's"

Dev's grandma marcario gave him these christmas pj's. They are the cutest I think. I just love the little reindeer on his feet. I know everybody thinks that their kids are the cutest, and I guess I'm no different :) He looks the CUTEST in these pj's though. I love having christmas this year with devin, he is such a happy loving little guy. I could not ask for a better baby really. I guess this is why #2 is on the way, we base alot off of devin. I have a bad feeling we could be in for it with our sassy little girl. Devy doo mommy and daddy love you so much, and can't wait for christmas morning with you :)

Baby Girl Is Small

Well well well here we go again. Unfortuntely this time we are hearing about this sooner than Devin. Which at the same time is good so that we can try to slow the process of growth restriction, if that is what's happening. So the story is we went to the hospital for an ultrasound, and were told that she is small. Basically they judge everything off of percentages, and she is in the 16th percentile. Babies that are considered growth restricted are in the 10th percentile. So at this point doctors are not calling it that yet, but she is right on the borderline. We go back Dec. 30th for another ultrasound, I will be 25 weeks then. They will have a much better idea if her growth pattern is continuing in the wrong direction. For now I have been put on modified bed rest, which I have to say is not fun at all. It drives me nuts to not be able to get up and do my simple cleaning etc.... I just thought I would give you all some insight as to why I have been behind on blogging lately. I have been preoccupied with devin ofcourse, and now baby girl being a little sassy in my belly :) We hope the best and just want to get her safely, even if she is small and early again. I mainly just want her healthy and home sooner rather than later. Well I will have more posts of a little more fun stuff. I'm working on it this weekend, until then talk to you all soon.

"Devin And Sister's Room"

Well nothing is set in stone yet, but I have a good start on "little girls" side of the room. So Devin and her will be sharing a room for a while, so they can both be close to mommy and daddy :) So Devins side if you all remember is very boy with fishing decor, take a look below......
So as for "little girls" side we are going with a zoo theme. On her wall it will read: Goin' to the zoo with mom... there will be a purple elephant on one side, and an orange giraffe on the other. so I have a preview picture below, no writing on the wall yet, but try to envision it :)...

These are some bibs that my mom bought baby girl for her 1st halloween, in my belly anyways :) I would love some opinions or thoughts on the room. any opinions of how I can spice it up cute would be great thanks!

Baby Girl Results

Good news so far everyone!!! No preeclampsia at this point, I am so excited. Doesn't mean it can't still show up, but I want to keep a positive attitude on it for now. I would be happy getting a baby to 36-37 weeks at this point, so fingers crossed I will get a full term baby girl this time. She is already sassy and stubborn, I have a feeling she isn't coming out anytime soon :)

"Baby #2 Update"

ok well this is a good and bad update. Iwill give you the short version of the story. Im 18 weeks almost 19 now. So on Tuesday evening I noticed I had a little bit of swelling in my ankles, not alot but enough that I noticed. So I pressed on my ankle to see if there was any indenting, which usually means some water is there. Well sure enough there was and I ofcourse freaked out inside, mainly because the same thing was happening when I was pregnant with devin. So I called my doctor on Wednsday morning, and they immediately got on the situation. My doctor ordered a 24 hour urine sample that I had to do from home. So I started that Thursday morning (today) I take it back into my doctor friday morning, then have to do blood as well. The urine is to determine if there is alot of protein present. It is one of the main beginning signs of preeclampsia. Anyhow I should hopefully have the results by monday, possibly Friday late afternoon. I will keep you all updated to let you know where things are at and how they are going. Wish us luck, I really am not in the mood for another growth restricted baby in the NICU.

"The Football Team"

I just realized that I haven't posted are little family in our halloween costumes. Devin had to wear his cute little helmet anyways, so we decided to make him a football player. I was the cheerleader, and chris was the coach. If you cant tell by the photos he is a fan of BYU. Are fist halloween with devin finally here was so much fun, last year this time he was still in my belly :) we just went to the grandparents houses, and to some friends houses to see their cute baby. Look how cute below Devin an Linkoln look.

So this next one is the whole family, are own little football team :).........
We then headed up to see the grandparents aunties and uncles, that was so much fun for everyone to see Devin on his 1st halloween. Enjoy all the pics below.............
