What A Comparison"

So this picture I just thought I would give everyone an idea of how much little Devin really has grown. These outfits are the same, but obviously different sizes, he came home in the smallest one weighing 4lbs 130z. He now is in the big boy one weighing 11pounds even :) wow this really does show small Devin really was, it's crazy for me to look back at now. I loved this little onesy so much that when he grew out of it I decided to get one in his size now. Once I got home with the new one I realized how small his original really was, honestly this still doesn't do justice to how small he really was when he was born. I just thought it was the best way I could show you all wow though I can't believe it, he is honestly growing like a weed. It makes me a little sad, because before I know it he will be walking and talking, and being sassy :) If he is anything like his daddy he will be sassy. Well until next time..... :)

"Devin's Blessing Day"

Well Devin's Blessing was June 7th. It was such a special day, what a beautiful helathy baby boy I have now. My little man is weighing in at 11lbs now, almost quadruple what he was when he was born. He was just a little peanut at 3lbs, all I know is I was so grateful to have my sweet boy blessed. I'm grateful that he will have Heavenly Father to watch over him and guide him through his life. He has now been blessed with the spirit and so much love from his mommy, daddy, and other family. My hope for Devin is that he will always remeber Heavenly Father and that he is the reason that he has been given to Chris and I. He is who gave him the gift of life, what a comfort that is to me. I pray that he will always remember how loved he is and how all we want for him is the best. Devin Mommy & Daddy love you so much and cannot believe how big our beautiul boy is growing up already. We can't wait to keep on this journey with you and just fill you with love, hapiness, and hope. We love you so much little peanut.

" 2 Fun Filled Weekends In One Post"

Weekend @ Grandma and Grandpa Marcario's
Okay so I have had so many things to post it's insane! So I decided to just put Memorial weekend, and last weekend into one big post. I will start with last weekend Devin and I went and stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Marcario while daddy was out of town. We had a great time and pretty much mommy (me) didn't have to do much :) We went on a walk, and we napped together, Grandpa Even got a good nap in with Dev. We went to Baskin Robbins for ice cream, we barbequed we hung in the warm sun, what more could you ask for on your weekend! Thanks grandma and grandpa for letting the Devster and I come stay with you we love you!!

Memorial Weekend (pools, barbeques, baths, and the cabin)

Well we had quite the weekend!! First it all started at the pool with my mom and sister, Dev loves the sun already like his mommy :) unfortunately he can't actually have sun exposure or get in the pool yet, but he still enjoyed it from the shade. I did make sure I got one picture with him by the water so I could say he was there. I just loved taking my little baby to the pool it was soooo much fun! It's funny though how since I have had Devin I really notice that the simplest things are so important and so fun, mostly because they are being done with Devin and Chris my sweet little family.

I thought maybe I would follow up with Dev's first big boy bath over this weekend. He is such a hoot he totally loves the warm water being squeezed on him. You see I say his big boy bath, because beng in the NICU he could only have a basic wipe down sponge bath. He finally is big enough to put in the water and let him play :) I had to get it on film it was to important to pass up I had to remeber that sweet moment Chris and I had with our first born baby boy. So check out this film it's pretty adorable!!! :)

So although the pool bath and hanging with our sweet Dev was prety awesome we had to end on a good note by going to the family cabin with Chris's family Sunday night. We barbequed, went on walks, slept, made dev laugh for the first time and I got a picture, ate ate ate played some cards and then loved on eachother and our sweet baby!!! I can't imagine Chris and I's life without Devin now I truly can't it's nuts. Well enough writing and talk I have lots of pics below to enjoy :) until next time hope you all had a great Memorial Day!!!!!

"The First Messy Spit Up"

Well so I thought this was worth posting because it was one of Devin's firsts. So I went to Chili's the other night for dinner, I usually feed him before I go so that he wont be fussy. Well needless to say he was doing just fine until about 20-25 minutes into dinner he started screaming. I looked under the blanket over his carrier and milk was coming out of his mouth and nose, the poor thing even had boogers coming out too. I had to use the sucker to clear his nose and airway, it was kind of scary for me actually. He was spitting up like you wouldn't believe. He never spits up this was one of the first times he has done and man it was bad. The milk was burning his little nostrils I'm sure and I'm thinking he couldn't breath very well do to it coming out of his mouth. Oh my gosh I felt like such a bad mom I swear when things like that happen you just freak, because well to me anyways it's new and scary. So this was just a sad story for mom more so and I just thought that I would post for anyone else that has had these silly first time experiences. Anyone that has any first time silly stories please share so that it can make me feel better :)

Happy Mother's Day!!!

So my first mothers day. I can't tell you how weird it was to be given things because I'm a mom. Don't get me wrong it was fun :) I'm just so used to giving my mom a gift on mother's day, not getting one from her. As you can see above Devin and I agreed that Mommy needed some sleep so we took an afternoon nap together at Grandma and Grandpa Marcario's house. I now understand and appreciate my mom more than I can even imagine. I get it now that love she always talked about, and would say you just wait until you have a baby, then you will understand. Well she's right I hate when that happens lol. All I know is just when you think you don't know how you could love something even more than your own life itself. I'm here to tell you it's possible, Devin is my precious little angel sent from heaven to remind his mommy everday that he chose me to be his mommy, and is a gift straight from god!!! I love you my little man thank you for the best Mommy's Day ever!!

"Devin's 7 Week Old Pics"

Well here we are another week past, and no still no sleep :) (not for mommy anyways). All I can say is when you have to wake up in the middle of the night so tired, but get to see this sweet face how can you even be upset. This is honestly just one of the many positions Dev sleeps in, it just cracks me up.This next set of pics are just simple for you to enjoy, all I have to say is our new little bundle is perfect!!! I could not ask for a more healthy sweet baby, life throws you curves sometimes, and Devin definately did that on his entrance in this world. Now that is all past though, and I am left with my beautiful little boy I would do it again and again in a heartbeat now that I know the end result. Enjoy the pics everyone!! :)

Happy Easter Devin

Well I didn't think that little Devin would be celebrating his first Easter until next year, but hey we aren't complaining. I mean I'm pretty sure Chris and I are bias to our sweet baby boy, but you can't tell me little Dev doesn't look cute. Everyone has been saying for a while now that he is a spitting image of me, but I don't know I think he is starting to look like his daddy. I have to say that is okay with me his daddy is a handsome one :) So I will just give a short little update for you. Devin now weighs in as of tonight at 4lbs 7oz, oh my our little man is 1oz shy of being a 4 1/2 pounder. He has gained almost a pound and a half in just over two weeks. More good news too, Dev is getting weaned slowly off of his oxygen I can't wait he could possibly come home this week or as late as this next weekend coming up!!!! Chris and I cannot wait to get our baby boy home safe and sound with us. He has so many people to still meet, including dukey boy (our dog). Well baby boy your daddy and I love you sooo much and wish you a happy 1st Easter. You have made this the best Easter ever!!!! One last food for thought from the mommy. I have learned there is no greater gift in this world than creating a child, and seeing them for the first time. It is something I will cherish forever Chris and Devin are my world, and now that Devin is here I can't imagine my life without him. Everyone please enjoy Dev's latest pics :)

"Latest Update"

Okay everyone I have been slow on this because, I have been recovering from a C-section. I got home on Sunday March 29th, sadly Chris and I left without Devin. Yes I said (Devin) we had it spelled as Devon, people were not saying it right at the hospital though. So instead Chris and I decided we would fix it by putting an "I" instead. Anyhow he is so beautiful, or maybe I'm just bias :) This has been quite a crazy trip the past two weeks. Thankfully Chris and I have had wonderful family, and freinds including my boss. I have to thank him for working with me so well, and his sweet wife that has checked up on Chris and I as well. Thank you both so much you are good kind people. I couldn't work at a better place that has taken care of me so well. As for Devin he is out of his enclosed place which they call an (isolette). He is now in an open crib holding his own body temprature. We are so proud of him, although he had some minor set backs and needed oxygen :( poor little thing it looked so sad on him. He also had to have a feeding tube put back down him, which they now took back out ugghhh. I wish they would make up their minds it hurts the poor little guy. As for Chris and I we are just pluncking along at home without our bundle :( it has been really hard on me and got me really down. What I went to the hospital to do for over a week I left without. Giving birth then leaving your baby behind after all that hard work, emotions, being scared, nervous, happy, excited, blessed, relieved when he came out crying it takes it's tole on you. We couldn't love him more though, when we see Devin it all melts away for the moment I hold him and kiss his sweet face. I just want to get to the good part and post some new pics of him :) please check them out below and enjoy.....

THE EARLY ARRIVAL!!!!

Presenting Devin James Duncan 3Lbs 3Oz 15 1/2 Inches!!!!!

"Our Little Man Is Here"

Okay so I know this little guy wasn't supposed to be here until May 8th, but he was impatient like his dad :) so here we are! To give the short version of the story in case there are some of you that don't know. Devon came a little earlier than planned. He was having some growth restriction in hotel uterus, really it was do to my placenta that wasnt wanting to make it to the full 40 weeks. The Doctor was suspecting Preclampsia (Basically it causes less blood flow through the placenta to little devon, which then was causing growth restricition to the the little guy). They found this just last week and it progressed quickly enough that it was necessary to take him out at 33 weeks 5 days. I had to be delivered by a C-Section surgery, which by the way, went really well and wasn't as horrible as I was anticipating! Needless to say Devon came out screaming which means the little mans lungs are mature, and so far he is breathing on his own :). The Dr's said he passed his apgar tests at a score of 8.9( that's going off a scale of 1-10) They said he is thriving like a full term baby, just little bitty. Chris and I could not ask for a more beautiful perfect baby, thank you all for your love, support and prayers. It has made a world of difference, and we could not ask for better family and friends. We love you all! Enjoy the videos and photos below :) Devon will get to stay with his other little friends in the hospital until he is about 38 weeks old, then he can come home with his family! We can't wait!
