"Addison's Blessing Day"

To Our Precious Bundle,

Addison mommy and daddy can't even describe to you just how special you really are!! We see you as a definite gift from above. You were due to be born at 28 to 29 weeks, and were a good candidate for severe health problems. It was once that I was in the hospital on bedrest and decided to say a quiet prayer. I asked Heavenly Father to please to make this experience hard on me and not on you. I asked that if he were going to have you come that early, that he make you not struggle. I told him to please put all difficulties on me, whether it be my surgery, or getting you here, etc...... I just prayed so hard that you could stay in a little longer and be healthy. Sure enough the lord answered my prayers. Even though I was devestated that I had to be in the hospital so long, it bought you so much more time to develop. Let me just tell you little Addi it was the most difficult thing mommy had done so far. I know now that my prayer was answered, because the lord did exactly what I asked, he put all the difficulty on me, and DID NOT make you struggle. He took care of you and made sure that you came developed enough and healthy. This is why my little precious that mommy and daddy had you blessed in this gospel, because we know that Heavenly Father had a large hand in bringing you to us, and we are forever grateful. We love you and are already so proud of what a beautiful little lady you are. I know brother doesn't pay to much attention to you yet, be he loves you so much, and can't wait until you are little bigger to play with. You two will be the best of friends. We love you are little princess, and pray and hope that you are truly BLESSED through out your life!!

"Condo Day 3"

This day we had more pool time, and also went into St. George for the day! My dad AKA "The Manny" watched the babies, so that me, my mom, and my sister could go to lunch and shop for the day!! Thank goodness for my cute daddy. I don't know what I would do without him and my mom always helping with the babies. Then ofcourse you have chris's parents that help just as much, so between both chris and I still have quite a bit of freedom. Take a look below of the manny in action burping little addison.....We went to the outlet stores for some shopping, and my mom found herself some awesome sunglasses!! They made her look like a fly, it was to funny so I had to get a picture.....Once we got back to the condo from St. George it was time for some more pool time.

Addi just decided to stay in the shade and lounge!! :)

After our fun filled day of lunch, shopping, and ofcourse the pool AGAIN! We decided to get ready for the evening and go to dinner at cute little mexican restaurant. Below is just alot of fun pictures before we left for dinner, so enjoy............

"Condo Day 2"

So on day 2 ofcourse it was off to the pool! Now Devin hadn't really been in a pool yet. I mean we put him in last summer, and he hated it by the way. He was just so young that he doesn't remember. So this year being that he is almost 15 months old, we figured it would be way more fun. It really was the getting ready for the pool that was the funnest. Check out Dev below in little swimmer diapers, and little Addison in her stylish pool attire..... So dang cute, but hey I'm bias to them :)

So after all the chaos of getting ready for the pool, it was actually off to the pool :) Devin didn't love the pool at first. I think it was just the initial getting in, you know how cold that can be. So grandpa and mommy had to gently get Devin used to the water....

Once he got used to the water we couldn't get him out. He was totally loving being in the pool. I was so glad, because I didn't want him to be afraid of water at all. Well judging by the pictures below he wasn't (enjoy).......

So after all of the fun in the pool, Devin decided he wanted to bask in the sun with grandpa..... This is such a priceless picture :)

"The Condo Day 1"

Well when daddy is away we will play :) The babies and mama decided to take a trip to grandma and grandpa's condo in Mesquite. We wanted to do alot of playing in the pool, shopping, eating yummy food, and just relaxing. Ok so maybe we are kind of boring, but it sure felt good to be boring. So I just thought I would break this trip up into the 3 days that we were gone. We are actually still at the condo until tomorrow. So now that grandma and grandpa got the babies down I can take a minute to blog :)

On the first day it took us 6 hours to actually get to the condo. That was accounting for the 3 stops we had to make for the babies. My mom, dad, me, babies, and my sister all went down together. I have really enjoyed hanging with my family. When we arrived at the condo we just grabbed ourselves a quick bite to eat at good old KFC, then bathed babies and went to bed basically. See the picture below, it was so adorable of both babies in their towels after a bath....

So that pretty much wraps up our first boring day :) See day 2 for a much more exciting time......

"Before and After"

Well I chopped my hair off, and know not because I'm a mom now!!! that is usually why everyone does it. In my case I have actually always had shorter hair, I just grew it out because I was basically pregnant for 2 years straight :) So below I have put a before and after picture of my hair. Let me know what you think of the ne hairdo, I know I like it!!

"My Ward Baby Shower"

So I just have to start by saying WOW Addison and I are so spoiled!!!

So not only did they throw little Addi a baby shower, they also threw one for little Body :) Body and his mommy Amanda live 5 houses down from me. That is Amanda above that I shared the shower with. I have just loved getting to know her as my neighbor! Her little baby is so adorable, he is also Addison's future husband lol!! Amanda and I have teased, because they both have reflux, and are a little naughty :) I just truly cannot believe the kindness for my ward and neighborhood! I feel so lucky to have been given this shower, and feel so dang spoiled at the same time. Addison ended up getting like 20 gifts plus, that's what happens when you have a princess on your hands. The gifts were full of toys, adorable dresses, pj's, you name it she got it!! As for the food that cheryl Garn had prepared it was so delicious. We had veggies, fruits, chocolates, cookies, mmmm cream puffs, cheese and crackers, juices, waters. I mean honestly it was so awesome. The picture of the food table is above!! I just can't believe how generous people are. For all of you reading this thank you sooooo much for putting a shower together, not only did little Addison get spoiled, but I got to know even more amazing women from the ward!! I appreciate all of your love, support, visits to the hospital, dinners etc..... I truly don't feel I can thank you enough. Enjoy some pics below of Amanda, me, and the babies :)

"Finished Projects"

Ok so in the last post I talked about our home depot run over the weekend! Well it was to refinish the table in our kitchen, and also get the yard ready for Addison's blessing this sunday. So below are lovely photos of me painting my kitchen table, along with the finished product.....

That was the first big project out of the way!! Although the larger project for the weekend was our yard. Let me just tell you we worked our butts off. When I say we I mainly mean chris and his mom. I did yard work the first day, and might I say I was proud of what I did :) I'm not usually one for yard work, but it was really fun to plant my own flowers. Like I was saying chris and his mom did most of the work. I am so grateful for chris and I's families. I'm sure you hear me say that alot, but it really is true! Chris's dad, mom, sister, and her fiance all came to help chris and I, so that we could get done what we wanted to do. I mean it was their memorial day too, but instead they were helping us!! As for Chris you truly are such a hard worker, and you made our yard look beautiful! Thank you babe for all the hard work, I just love our little home. There is nothing like adding your own touches to your house to make it your own. Chris and I did alot of that this weekend. So now that you have heard of all the hard work, I have posted the finished product below.....

"FAMILY DAY!!"

Ok so Chris and I decided to have a really fun family day over the Memorial weekend! We wanted to take Devin somewhere fun now that he is getting old enough to know what things are. So we went to the aquarium in Sandy. Let me just tell you Devin could have cared less about any of it lol. My little man cared more about all of the little kids running around, he didn't hardly even notice the aquatic life :) He has formed quite the personality I must say! Dev just sees little kids and starts giggling up a storm. I don't know what it is, but he loves the little munchkins running all over the place. Aside from the people watching he did enjoy a few things there like the sting rays, snake, salt water aquarium, and the cool frog you can sit on.......

Maybe next year Addi will enjoy the aquarium a little more than what this picture shows :) she sure looks cute though......

After TGI Fridays's for lunch and the aquarium, we decided to go to the mall!! Mommy and Addison's favorite place. I don't know how excited daddy and dev were about it, but we had fun! There was actually a purpose behind making a mall run. We had to find our princess a very princess appropriate dress for her blessing next week! I will post some preview pics of it in a day or two. It is so beautiful! It is pure white, and as puffy and lacy as a dress can be!! Her white headband and bow are to die for! Did I mention how much fun it is having a girl :) There is just something about shopping for her. So then last but not least we ran one more errand to prep for this blessing next week! We went to the Home Depot ofcourse. We found all of our flowers, bushes, and indoor accesories to do our home projects!! So then we finished off with a nice hard day of yard work, and ofcourse we had our best helpers in the yard with us :)

So this is how we spent our Memorial day weekend!! We spent it as a family, just the way I like it. I love my husband and babies so much! I really cherish all the little moments I have with them. Also to my hubby that let me plan out this whole family day. It was cute he just kept saying the same thing anytime I would ask him something: "Whatever mama wants to do, it's her day!!" It just put a smile on my face to have such a good husband that thinks of me, and sometimes just wants to do whatever I want to do :) thanks babe for making my family day so fun, and just spending time together!!

"Addison Is Smiling"

So this is the only smile (half smile) that I could capture recently!! She literally is doing open mouth smiles now, it is adorable! It is so what you wait for, all of that fun interaction. My little angel is doing so well, and is just thriving!! I could not ask for a more healthy perfect baby. I will soon try to post a really good full on smile, until then enjoy the pic :)

"My Little Rugrats"

We were in on a cool day like usual! I can't wait for summer to get here, and go to the pool, zoo, walks etc..... It will be so nice to get the littlerugrats out! Devin absolutely loves outside and being in the stroller. This summer will be so fun with him at the pool :) he totally loves water, he goes nuts in the bathtub. As for my precious little Addison she will just have to dip her little toesies in, and look good in her little swimsuit! I have to say they have the cutest little girly swimsuits, ofcourse they always have cute stuff for girls. Well I just wanted to post these cute recent pictures of the babies enjoy :)......
