"FAMILY DAY!!"

Ok so Chris and I decided to have a really fun family day over the Memorial weekend! We wanted to take Devin somewhere fun now that he is getting old enough to know what things are. So we went to the aquarium in Sandy. Let me just tell you Devin could have cared less about any of it lol. My little man cared more about all of the little kids running around, he didn't hardly even notice the aquatic life :) He has formed quite the personality I must say! Dev just sees little kids and starts giggling up a storm. I don't know what it is, but he loves the little munchkins running all over the place. Aside from the people watching he did enjoy a few things there like the sting rays, snake, salt water aquarium, and the cool frog you can sit on.......

Maybe next year Addi will enjoy the aquarium a little more than what this picture shows :) she sure looks cute though......

After TGI Fridays's for lunch and the aquarium, we decided to go to the mall!! Mommy and Addison's favorite place. I don't know how excited daddy and dev were about it, but we had fun! There was actually a purpose behind making a mall run. We had to find our princess a very princess appropriate dress for her blessing next week! I will post some preview pics of it in a day or two. It is so beautiful! It is pure white, and as puffy and lacy as a dress can be!! Her white headband and bow are to die for! Did I mention how much fun it is having a girl :) There is just something about shopping for her. So then last but not least we ran one more errand to prep for this blessing next week! We went to the Home Depot ofcourse. We found all of our flowers, bushes, and indoor accesories to do our home projects!! So then we finished off with a nice hard day of yard work, and ofcourse we had our best helpers in the yard with us :)

So this is how we spent our Memorial day weekend!! We spent it as a family, just the way I like it. I love my husband and babies so much! I really cherish all the little moments I have with them. Also to my hubby that let me plan out this whole family day. It was cute he just kept saying the same thing anytime I would ask him something: "Whatever mama wants to do, it's her day!!" It just put a smile on my face to have such a good husband that thinks of me, and sometimes just wants to do whatever I want to do :) thanks babe for making my family day so fun, and just spending time together!!

"Addison Is Smiling"

So this is the only smile (half smile) that I could capture recently!! She literally is doing open mouth smiles now, it is adorable! It is so what you wait for, all of that fun interaction. My little angel is doing so well, and is just thriving!! I could not ask for a more healthy perfect baby. I will soon try to post a really good full on smile, until then enjoy the pic :)

"My Little Rugrats"

We were in on a cool day like usual! I can't wait for summer to get here, and go to the pool, zoo, walks etc..... It will be so nice to get the littlerugrats out! Devin absolutely loves outside and being in the stroller. This summer will be so fun with him at the pool :) he totally loves water, he goes nuts in the bathtub. As for my precious little Addison she will just have to dip her little toesies in, and look good in her little swimsuit! I have to say they have the cutest little girly swimsuits, ofcourse they always have cute stuff for girls. Well I just wanted to post these cute recent pictures of the babies enjoy :)......

"How I spent Mother's Day"

Let's just start by saying that my mother's day was spent right where I wanted to be, with my cute babies and husband! Chris is so sweet he gave me the nicest card, and then also agift from him, Devin, and Addison. It was so fulfilling to see 3 people that morning, 2 of which are our newest additions. I feel so lucky to get to celebrate mother's day with these two cuties :

I got so many gifts between chris, my family, and his family! I feel awfully spoiled, but I guess your allowed to be on mother's day :) So I just wanted to take a minute to tell Devin and Addison how much I love them.

Dev and Addi you both are my world. Words cannot express how excited I was each time I found I was pregnant with each of you. You both have been such a gift, and I can't describe just how happy having you both has made me. Daddy and I liked just hanging with eachother before either of you were here, but we love hanging with both of you now so much MORE!! Feeling both of you kick for the first time in my belly was the most amazing feeling ever! I loved you both so long before I ever even met you. You also both wanted to enter into this world with a grand entrance! In fact you both were so anxious get here, that you both came 7 weeks early. You had mommy and daddy very nervous both times, but proved us wrong by being such fighters. The NICU was no match for you, and you blew all the nurses away each time. Daddy and I are so blessed to have such special people in our lives, we have already learned so much from you. We are aware of really just how bad your deliveries and entrance into this world could have been ,but heavenly father made sure you were safe and healthy. That is something that makes you both so special. You have already had such a big challenge in life, and you both fought through it. Thank you both so much for coming into my life and changing it forever. I love you both more than I could ever tell you in words! Thank you for making it possible for me to truly learn such a love that is only for a child.

"My Little Strawberry Shortcake"

I had to take this! I love how little Addi's flowers and bows are bigger than her. Thankfully chris's cousin Mckel made me some smalle flowers and headbands. This is my little strawberry shortcake. Mommy love you Addison :)

So I found this new chrisitian blog that I just love! I am of the LDS faith, but it doesn't matter to me :) christian is christian. This lady has such great posts, and is very spiritual. I need some of that daily to get me up and going! So thankful thursday is one of her posts for every thursday, and today was on be thankful for mother's, since mother's day is coming up Sunday. Thankful Thursday: Mothers

This week, since Sunday is Mother's Day, I would like for us to share with each other why we are thankful for our Mothers. Some may have a mom who is their best friend. Some may have a mom in Heaven. Some of us may have never had the chance to meet our moms or haven't seen our moms since we were young. Some of us have more than one mom due to divorce. And some of us may be blessed with women who raised us that were not our biological mothers but "moms" nonetheless.

I am grateful for my mom, because she goes above and beyond the call of duty!! She is constantly taking care of me, and doing things for my 2 babies all the time! Devin and Addison are so lucky to have her as a grandma, mom I love you and thank you so much for being my mom , and giving me life :) I was not raised LDS or of any religion for that matter. I am so thankful that my mom no matter what kept prayer in our home, and taught us who heavenly father and christ were. She wanted to offer that to us no matter what, so that we could choose from there if we wanted them both in our lives. I chose to have them in my life when I was baptized to the LDS church.

"I Have Been Humbled"

Well let me just start by saying what an amazing person Stephanie Nielson is. I do not know her personally, but I follow her blog "Nie Dialouges". You can find it on the left of my blog under freinds and family. I was catching up last night on all the blogs I follow, when I came across this amazing video on Stephanie Nielson. The quick run down is that she is a plane crash survivor along with her husband, she is also a young mother of 4 children. She was severely burned in this crash 85% I believe, her husband was burnt as well 30%. I have never known somebody with so much faith in god SERIOUSLY and the best attitude around. Sure she seems to have her down moments, but she always takes the initiative to pray when she is down and it brings her back to a good place. She has made me realize almost like an "AH HA" moment, that life is honestly about living for what you believe in. It doesn't matter if others shun you because of it, because the truth is when it's all said and done it's about being happy for yourself. She also talks in this video about what it really means to her now to be a mother. I like how she says"I'm not just some lady that gets up in the mornings and makes my kids breakfast, I am their mother and I am priveleged to teach them about the gospel, and raise them as I please." I love that because it is how I feel about raising my babies. I have alot of odds against me in this ugly world to try and teach my children right from wrong. What I think may be right or wrong may not be someone elses same idea, but that is just fine.

I in the past 2 years have discovered through the gospel that there is so much more to life than just your image, looks, pleasing everybody but yourself, worrying what everybody else thinks, material things, and how much money you have. This is just to name a few, but honestly these things I wrote above all mean nothing. The main message I recieved from this video is that life can change in a second, but if you keep one thing consistent then you will get through whatever is thrown your way. I have had alot thrown my way with both my babies in the past year, and I have thanked Heavenly Father everyday for giving beautiful healthy babies. There is no way that my children's lives would have been spared without a god! So please I ask that you watch this video, and then tell me that there isn't such thing as a god that spared this couples lives, it couldn't have happened without something higher. People do not generally survive a plan crash, so you have to ask yourself how did these people. "My Little Goof"

So Devin is doing so many fun things now!! He is just my little goof, he mimics everthing that you do. His latest is playing peek a boo with everyone. He will cove his face with his hands, and then pull them down when we say there's Devin. It honestly is the cutest thing ever, we taught him last week, and within minutes he picked it up. I can't believe my little man is almost 13 1/2 months now! I'm a little sad that he is growing up so fast already. Every morning I put Devin and Addison in bed with me :) It is the only way I can get them both fed and changed at the same time "yikes". Devin drinks some milk and lays by me and Addi while I finish taking care of her. Once little Addison is back down, then I take Dev downstairs for some cereal and fruit for breakfast. It truly is a crazy life I lead right now, but the truth is I wouldn't change it for anything. I love my babies so much, I couldn't imagine my life now without them. So regardless of how chaotic it may get, it's pictures like the one above that keeps me going. It helps me remember many more of the good moments, rather than focusing on the hard ones :) hope you all had a great weekend, and I will have a new update on Addison soon......

"The Night Before The Diet"

Well well well here I am sitting in bed at 11:20 at night, blogging ofcourse. These are the only hours I can fit it in if I'm lucky! I thought I would just post the night before my brutal P90X diet that starts tomorrow. As I type I am enjoying some la frontera chips and salsa mmmmm (in bed). If you could see the grease on this bag right now yikes, and yes you have it right I'm going to sleep after gorging myself :) I figure I have to enjoy one last time with my bad eating habits. I really am hoping all the hard workouts (6 days a week) is going to pay off, and I will look like this in a bikini :)......

Ok well if I could even look half this good I would be happy! Here's to P90X don't worry I'm cheersing with water, not my delicious coke! I will give you the update monday on how it is going so far, until then enjoy the beautiful weekend.

Ok so really I don't mean to be bias, but you can't tell me little Devin isn't a stud :) I absolutely loved this picture. It was really funny because it wasn't planned to look like this at all. I just had put the bib on to feed Dev, and he got some sunglasses put on him as well. When I looked over I about died, I had to get a picture of my little stud muffin. I have to say I think he just may be a little lady killer, so parents "Lock up your daughters".
